Finding Inspiration
Using everyday objects and a waterproof technical pen, we can explore ways of combining line and wash. This is a super exercise for working out what style of line you prefer, whether you want to start with ink or with colour, whether your personal preference is for keeping within the lines or getting more splashy.
It is amazing how the start of a personal style becomes obvious through a quick raid on the fruit basket or vegetable rack.
Now compare the drawings â which has more energy and charm? You will start to see that whether you start with pen or with wash is immaterial, but you may find one more appealing.
